Dr. Miller started out as an anthropologist and worked in archeology for a few years before moving into public health. She completed a master’s in public health at UCLA, focusing on international health, maternal and child health. Dr. Miller attended medical school in Colorado and spent her senior year working in Zimbabwe and Malawi before returning for her pediatrics residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland. A love of learning led her to also complete a fellowship in pediatric infectious disease.
Dr. Miller's career includes working over a decade in a private clinic in San Francisco and Marin, practicing both primary care pediatrics and infectious disease consulting. Most recently, she has been with Stanford Children’s Health in the East Bay.
Dr. Miller loves working with children and their families. She likes to educate along the way and encourages kids to be engaged in understanding their bodies. Her goal is to partner with clients to arrive at the best choice for the family.
Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys travel, running, hiking, and skiing whenever possible. Live music and theater are always on the agenda, along with cooking and baking, especially with family and friends. She has two children.
She welcomes prospective patients to meet with her, including expectant parents before the birth of a new baby.
